For example, we're strongly anti-Bush/anti-'right' because they're dangerous! Just look at what's happened to this country since Bu$h took office! Among other things, he quickly turned the largest surplus in American history into the largest deficit ever. That's disgraceful. Bush is a liar and a deserter, yet he likes to pretend that he is a real veteran. Nonsense! Sorry, but using your daddy's influence to hide in the US during the Vietnam war--and then, as if that wasn't enough, also going AWOL--does not qualify as being a Vietnam-era vet. He can lie about that all he wants, but just like the lies he told about WMDs in Iraq--so he could start a war that's killed 3,100+ American troops so far--his lies about his military service are just that: lies. We are a real Vietnam-era military family, including one person who served in the USAF during Vietnam and was permanently disabled while on active duty overseas. We are appalled at the huge cuts in veterans' benefits Bu$h has planned now that he's returning to office. As far as we're concerned, any veteran who supports Bu$h should be ashamed of themselves...and if they rely on the VA health system for their medical care, let's hope they remember that they supported the lying deserter as more and more VA hospitals close.

We're amused at the confusion some people (namely brain-dead, right-wing idiots who can't think for themselves and have to rely on great role models, such as drug-addicted talk radio hosts, to tell them what to think) have about being patriotic and liberal Democrats. They wonder how it's even possible to be a liberal and be patriotic. Can you imagine the degree of stupidity required to think like that?! We've seen other people's designs that say things like "Liberals HATE America!" and we just laugh. Actually, we shake our heads in disbelief. It's ironic that the people who've taken it upon themselves to declare us unpatriotic, America-haters are the same folks who support a deserting liar for president. While Bush was hiding in the US during Vietnam, my husband was in the Air Force getting permanently disabled. But WE'RE unpatriotic America-haters? Go figure.

Just like our political and patriotic sections, our other sections also represent issues or interests that are meaningful to us. We strongly believe in animal rights and are vegetarian because of those beliefs. Although we are not gay, we fully support gay rights, gay marriage, gay equality. We find it hard to believe that there are still people around who are so ignorant, so uneducated that they actually believe homosexuality is a choice!

We're also pro-choice, not pro-abortion...and, yes, there is a difference. If we were pro-abortion, we'd be out yelling, screaming and otherwise terrorizing pregnant women, trying to convince them to have abortions. Ridiculous! It's the anti-choice crowd that does the terrorizing, bombing, murdering, and threatening. We're very pro-family and pro-child; we just happen to believe that if other women want to have abortions while their embryo/fetus is not viable outside its mother's uterus, they should be able to--legally and safely.
